Woodstock

Welcome to Woodstock, NY, ‘The most famous small town in the world. A “Colony of the Arts” since 1902, Woodstock is less than two hours from NYC at the foothills of the Catskills.

We invite you to visit to see why the energy and spirit create a beautiful state of mind and the creative spirit and unique individualism that has filled the pages of Woodstock’s story throughout the years. While music has always been an essential part of the Woodstock landscape, something quite unique began to emerge in the sixties that would lend the name of Woodstock to an entire generation. The names are now legendary – Dylan, Hendrix, The Band – to note a few.

There are spectacular music venues, Byrdcliffe Arts, the Playhouse Theater, and fantastic restaurants and shopping. Summer and fall festivals are plentiful in the Hudson Valley. The now-famous Phoenicia International Voice Festival is just up Route 28. Take in all of the beautiful mountain views, swimming holes, and the forever wild hayfields near “Big Deep.” Hike up to the restored Overlook Fire Tower above the monastery for the most fantastic views of the Hudson Valley. Belleayre, Windham, and Hunter Mt Ski Centers are only a short drive away. Find a B&B and spend your weekend in Woodstock!
